Stokmarknes is situated on Hadseløya, which is one of the islands of Vesterålen. It is the birthplace of the famous Hurtigruten, which has been serving the Norwegian coast since 1893. During our visit, we will explore the Hurtigruten museum, where they have built a glass shelter around the MS Finnmarken boat to preserve it. The boat is one of the last classic ships that served for 37 years before retiring from duty in 1993.
